ABOUT ME
Olivia “Via” San Mateo is the sole proprietor of Olive-Route, a design and letterpress studio that opened up shop in April of 2005. Her approach to design is collaborative, learned from years of architecture and graphic design education. Followed up by an apprenticeship with old-school Master printers, she fell in love with the art of letterpress and found her calling. Shortly thereafter she bought her first press and started Olive-Route, just two doors down from her beloved mentors. She prints (obsessively) on vintage letterpress machines and feeds each piece by hand, mixing colors to match just right.
Olivia's work isn't defined by a particular style, but is driven by the challenges of each project. Her keen understanding of her client's needs result in unique and custom pieces, tailored to fit.

THE STUDIO
At Olive-Route, our goal has always been to fill a need for unique, bespoke paper products. All work is custom made so every job can be tailored to your specific needs. Print runs are done on a vintage letterpress machine and all finishing work is done by hand. Olive-Route is a boutique, artisanal shop and we've fostered relationships with other local vendors to expand our capabilities, allowing us to produce projects large and small. We've worked with individuals and large companies alike and treat everyone with the same level of customer service.
